Key speaker on 2017 Budget added to line-up at Vehicle Remarketing Association seminar <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Analysis on the 2017 Budget and what it means for the motor industry \u2013 less than 24 hours after its details have been revealed \u2013 has been added to the Vehicle Remarketing Association\u2019s free-to-attend Annual Seminar next month.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chris Cummings, head of tax at automotive consultancy ASE Global, will be providing a complete rundown for attendees at the event on the morning following Chancellor Philip Hammond\u2019s Budget speech.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He will be one of six experts covering the topic of \u201cThe Challenges of 2018\u201d at the seminar, which takes place at the Leicester Marriott Hotel on November 23<\/span><\/span>rd<\/span><\/sup><\/span> and is designed to provide a complete briefing on the major trends and legislative changes affecting those involved in car and van remarketing from fleets to dealers in a compact, four-hour format.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Speakers include <\/span><\/span>Mike Allen<\/span><\/span> of <\/span><\/span>Zeus Capital<\/span><\/span>, looking at the current state of the market; <\/span><\/span>Jonathan Butler<\/span><\/span> of <\/span><\/span>Geldards<\/span><\/span> on the implications of GDPR for the remarketing sector; <\/span><\/span>Giles Rayner<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Nissan<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on what’s fuelling the next generation of cars<\/span><\/span>;<\/span> Louise Wallis<\/span> of the <\/span>National Franchise Dealer Association<\/span> on the growing problem of clocking; and <\/span>Tim Hudson <\/span>of <\/span>Cox Automotive<\/span> on how to handle ever larger used vehicle volumes. <\/span><\/p>\n

Glenn <\/span><\/span>Sturley<\/span><\/span><\/span>, chair at the VRA, said: \u201c2018 looks set to be a challenging year for the remarketing sector for all parties involved. The market, while still relatively buoyant, is perhaps more volatile than it has been for some time, while there are a range of legislative and other changes underway that will have definite impact on how we all do business.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis seminar, which takes the place of our usual annual conference, is intended to fully brief those working in remarketing on the key facts that they need to know and, we are sure, will provide them with much material that will be of use to them as they plan for next year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
