Automotive data expert, cap hpi, has revealed the most in demand used car brands for buyers looking to finance their next purchase.\u00a0 The analysis shows that German premium car brands are proving to be a real hit with consumers with four of the top five manufacturers searched (and five of the top 10).<\/p>\n

The analysis, based on consumer habits from its website, shows the top of the used car brands for July are BMW with 13.64% of searches, followed by Audi with 10.34%. Third on the highest number of searches is Mercedes-Benz with 10.03% followed by the only non-German manufacturer in the top five, Ford, with 8.46% just ahead of Volkswagen in fifth with 8.15%.<\/p>\n

German-owned Porsche is number 10 on the list with a recorded 2.82% of searches.<\/p>\n

Philip Nothard, consumer and retail specialist at cap hpi, said: \u201cLooking at the data from the number of used cars consumers are searching online, there\u2019s no arguing with the German dominance of the used market.<\/p>\n

\u201cGerman manufactured cars are book ending the top 10 with BMW out in front and Porsche in tenth spot.
