But keen to do more, G3 also pledged to donate a percentage of profit from every vehicle sold.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00a330,000 total \u2013 which was reached earlier this month \u2013 will help provide specialist, free-of-charge, palliative care for people from the local area, as well as support for their families and carers.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on G3\u2019s reasons for choosing to support The Prince of Wales Hospice, Matt said: \u201cMy father passed away at the hospice six years ago, and it was then that I realised how much it helps the community. It\u2019s not until you need these services, that you understand how valuable they are.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Prince of Wales Hospice is a great charity in particular, because the money raised goes straight into maintaining and supporting the facility \u2013 not towards marketing budgets and executive\u2019s wages. That\u2019s why we\u2019ll always support them, however we can.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The hospice costs \u00a32.7million per year to keep open, but only a third of the running costs are covered by the NHS, leaving \u00a31.7m left to be supported by donations and fundraising events.<\/p>\n<p>Laura Bennett, The Prince of Wales Hospice\u2019s fundraising manager, commented: \u201cMatt\u2019s dad was a patient with us six years ago, so his and G3\u2019s donations mean a lot \u2013 it shows that he\u2019s confident in our services and wants them to be available for other users.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cG3 has put a mechanism in place to ensure their continued support and we\u2019re extremely grateful towards them.
