{"id":3303,"date":"2016-03-24T16:23:37","date_gmt":"2016-03-24T16:23:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.lnetdev.uk\/thevra2026\/?p=3303"},"modified":"2016-03-24T16:23:37","modified_gmt":"2016-03-24T16:23:37","slug":"aston-barclay-plc-continues-sponsorship-british-touring-car-championship-ace-sam-tordoff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.lnetdev.uk\/thevra2026\/aston-barclay-plc-continues-sponsorship-british-touring-car-championship-ace-sam-tordoff\/","title":{"rendered":"Aston Barclay plc continues sponsorship of British Touring Car Championship ace Sam Tordoff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aston Barclay plc has renewed its sponsorship with Team JCT600\/GardX frontrunner Sam Tordoff ahead of the upcoming 2016 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season.<\/p>\n<p>The UK\u2019s third-largest vehicle remarketing group will support Tordoff for a second consecutive season as he looks to build upon a promising first year with the West Surrey Racing team, which carries the name of JCT600, the Tordoff family motor group and GardX.<\/p>\n<p>The deal will see Aston Barclay\u2019s logo appear on Sam Tordoff\u2019s #600 BMW 125i M Sport and race suit, as he once again partners with fellow BTCC winner, Rob Collard.<\/p>\n<p>Tordoff will be aiming to utilise Aston Barclay\u2019s continued backing for another push at the title this season, following a successful 2015 in which the Bradford-born driver registered two wins at Oulton Park and Croft in his maiden year in a rear-wheel-drive BTCC car.<\/p>\n<p>A further three podiums at Croft, Thruxton and Silverstone enabled Tordoff to finish ahead of tin-top veterans Collard and Andy Priaulx in a very respectable sixth in the 2015 Drivers\u2019 Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Aston Barclay\u2019s dedicated customer base will be able to cheer Tordoff onto greater success throughout a ten-round, 30-race 2016 season that visits the UK\u2019s best circuits, starting at Brands Hatch on April 2 and finishing at this same circuit in early October.<\/p>\n<p>David Scarborough, Aston Barclay plc Commercial Director, commented on the renewed partnership, \u201cAston Barclay is proud to support Sam\u2019s championship assault again in 2016.
