Valuation wide CAP is predicting the emission scandal that has enveloped Volkswagen will have \u201cno discernible impact\u201d on used values in the UK.<\/p>\n
Dylan Setterfield, senior forecasting editor at CAP, said: \u201cWe do not expect there to be any significant impact on used values for VAG models in the UK as a direct result of the US emissions scandal.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe last global recall was the Toyota Lexus issue, and despite the fact that this had serious safety implications, there was no discernible impact on used values.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is also far from certain that VAG are the only ones to have employed such technology on their vehicles in the USA.<\/p>\n
CAP reported high volumes of enquiries from across the industry around potential impacts on used values.<\/p>\n
