Since 2007 alone, Manheim has sold over 84,000 Transit vans with a total sales value of more than \u00a3425 million. Manheim\u2019s top Transit buyer has been Anchor Vans Ltd, which has purchased 1,100 of the iconic Ford vans since 2007, spending \u00a36.4 million.<\/p>\n<p>At each auction event, for each Transit sold, Manheim will pledge \u00a310 to charity, with \u00a35 donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity long-supported by Ford UK, and \u00a35 going to the Manheim Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Manheim is also running its \u2018Backbone of Britain\u2019 Tour, with James Davis, Manheim\u2019s director of commercial vehicles, and Matthew Davock, Manheim\u2019s head of LCV, running \u2018Transit 50th\u2019-branded vans around the country to each auction event.<\/p>\n<p>Davis said: \u201cThe Ford Transit is Britain\u2019s undisputed best-selling van, so we felt it appropriate as the UK\u2019s undisputed number one commercial vehicle auction business to support its 50th birthday celebrations.
