{"id":2148,"date":"2015-06-12T16:00:49","date_gmt":"2015-06-12T16:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.lnetdev.uk\/thevra2026\/?p=2148"},"modified":"2015-06-12T16:00:49","modified_gmt":"2015-06-12T16:00:49","slug":"average-values-light-commercial-vehicles-rose-50-may-5558-rise-0-9-compared-april-according-bca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.lnetdev.uk\/thevra2026\/average-values-light-commercial-vehicles-rose-50-may-5558-rise-0-9-compared-april-according-bca\/","title":{"rendered":"Average values for light commercial vehicles rose by \u00a350 in May to \u00a35,558, a rise of 0.9% compared to April, according to BCA."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fleet and lease values fell marginally, while part-exchange values improved significantly over the month.\u00a0 Nearly-new values rose to the highest point this year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/amcdn.blob.core.windows.net\/media\/1\/root\/image-1_w800_h800.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"484\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.428571429;\">Year-on-year, average values were down by \u00a329 (0.5%) compared to April 2014, with both age and mileage slightly higher in 2015.\u00a0 Performance against CAP improved by two points compared to 2014.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>BCA\u2019s head of commercial vehicles Duncan Ward said: \u201cWhile average values have stopped their meteoric year-on-year climb as volume has returned to the marketplace, demand has remained steady.\u00a0 Buyers compete strongly for good condition, later plate vehicles, and any unusual or scarce derivatives will find a ready audience.\u00a0 Condition is key to success, however, and buyers expect to see a full service history.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPoor condition stock, or readily available models in corporate colours need to be sensibly valued to sell first time as the competition is fierce for the buyer\u2019s wallet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Values for fleet and lease LCVs averaged \u00a36,447 in May \u2013 a fall of \u00a312 (0.2%) compared to April.\u00a0 \u00a0CAP performance improved to 101.26% and retained value against Manufacturer Recommended Price was static at 35.6%.\u00a0\u00a0 Year-on-year, values were down by \u00a3352 (5.1%).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/amcdn.blob.core.windows.net\/media\/1\/root\/image-2_w800_h800.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"484\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There was a significant \u00a3240 (6.7%) increase in part-exchange LCV values in May compared to April, as values reached their highest point this year.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0CAP average comparisons rose by nearly two points to 104.2% and continue to outperform the fleet &amp;
