Volkswagen has introduced a Reserve Online function to its Das WeltAuto used car scheme.<\/p>\n
The feature enables customers to pay a \u00a3500 deposit using PayPal to reserve a car.<\/p>\n
Should the customer see the car at the selling retailer\u2019s premises within 48 hours and decide against the purchase, they can get a refund back to their PayPal account<\/p>\n
Ian Plummer, head of sales operations for Volkswagen UK said: \u201cMost customers nowadays start their journey to a used car purchase on the internet, and there is a growing expectation that they should also be able to formalise the sale remotely and outside normal trading hours.<\/p>\n
\u201cUsing Reserve Online and PayPal, we can offer them a secure way of placing a deposit and then giving them time to view and collect the vehicle, adding to the reassurance that our customers feel when buying used cars from the Volkswagen franchised network and its Das WeltAuto programme.\u201d<\/p>\n
Standard elements of all Das WeltAuto approved cars include 142 pre-sale checks, a minimum 12 month warranty, 30 day\/1000 mile \u2018No Quibble\u2019 Exchange Policy, minimum 12 months roadside assistance for the UK and Europe, independent vehicle history and mileage tests, service history checks and five days free Volkswagen insurance.<\/p>\n
Additional options introduced in 2014 in response to customer demand include used car finance and Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) offers and used car fixed price service plans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
