A priority webinar is being held by the Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA) on the economic policy of the new Liz Truss government and its likely effects on the motor industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Planned for 10 am on Wednesday 2 November, it will include reaction to Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng\u2019s debt cutting plan and official Office for Budgetary Responsibility forecasts, both set to be announced at the end of October. It will also examine wider global financial issues and how they will impact on the remarketing sector specifically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The keynote speaker is Mike Allen, head of research at Zeus Capital, and there will also be a panel of industry experts answering questions from delegates, with names to be announced soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Philip Nothard, chair at the VRA, said: \u201cThe new prime minister has made it clear that her government\u2019s economic policy will be a substantial departure from the thinking that has dominated in the last decade or more. At the same time, it\u2019s becoming clearer that the global economy is probably in more trouble than was previously thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
