Transport and logistics is the second subject to be covered by the Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA)\u2019s latest series of \u201cFocus on\u2026\u201d webinars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taking place on Wednesday 20th October, it will be built around an extended panel discussion featuring a number of leading companies who are VRA members operating in this area of the remarketing sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The webinar panel includes Nick Chadaway, managing director at DMN Logistics; Mark Shearer, director at Movex; Matt Atherton, head of operations at AT Moves; and Amanda Garner, operations director at Forde Recruitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cost of collecting and delivering vehicles is likely to increase in the coming months with many operators working hard to meet pre-pandemic service level agreement targets, explained Philip Nothard, chair at the VRA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said: \u201cTransport and logistics is an area of remarketing that has been heavily impacted by factors such as Covid and Brexit, and could be further affected by developments including longer lead times, rising costs and labour shortages. We\u2019ll be looking at how the sector is managing these issues as it moves into the post-pandemic phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe first Focus on\u2026 webinar held last month covered motor auctions and proved to be one of our most informative and interactive webinars of the year. Feedback from members was excellent and we\u2019re expecting this new session to be equally informative and well-attended with a high degree of discussion.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At least one more Focus on\u2026 webinar is planned before the end of the year, covering vehicle reconditioning, and more may follow in 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
