The Vehicle Remarketing Association has named Jonathan Butler as its first-ever legal counsel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The partner and head of automotive at Geldard\u2019s has been a member of the VRA board since 2019, and has been in legal practice since 1996, establishing a widely-respected specialism in motor industry matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Philip Nothard, chair at the VRA, said: \u201cLegal issues seem to arise with increasing regularity across the remarketing sector and we wanted to appoint someone to the organisation who could help us formulate both a VRA corporate view on important matters and provide initial advice to members where needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJonathan was the obvious choice in this area thanks to his experience and expertise as well as his prior involvement with the organisation. We\u2019re very pleased that he has agreed to take on this role and grateful to Geldards for his contribution.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jonathan added: \u201cThe VRA does excellent work across the remarketing sector and already plays an important role in making its members aware of emerging legal issues.
