Automotive Leasing, the public sector division of second-largest BC50 company Leaseplan has partnered with Energy Saving Trust Scotland to encourage drivers to consider electric vehicles.<\/p>\n
Automotive Leasing said it will work with the EST to promote the benefits of ultra-low emission vehicles in a UK-wide project.<\/p>\n
The companies will distribute information to fleet owners and operators using Leaseplan’s ‘Take a Leaf Out of our book’ scheme which allows motorists the opportunity to trial a Nissan Leaf for three months.<\/p>\n
EST’s fuel-efficient driver training scheme will also be promoted as part of the partnership.<\/p>\n
“There is nothing that beats the real-world experience of driving an all-electric vehicle. EST is the ideal organisation to promote the benefits of ultra-low emission vehicles as they visit businesses and public bodies around Scotland,” said Judith Eadie, account director at Automotive Leasing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “This agreement with EST is a reflection of our drive to promote environmentally friendly modes of transportation. We hope that we’ll be better able to understand just how public bodies and businesses will use all electric vehicles in challenging landscape and environment,” said Eadie.<\/p>\n Leaseplan recently created a business development division to house several business functions under one umbrella.<\/p>\n Leaseplan’s business development division will comprise of marketing, product services, new product development and consultancy services.<\/p>\n The division will be headed up the company’s former brand director, Lesley Slater in the newly created board-level role of business development director.<\/p>\n Slater has worked with Leaseplan for 20 years.<\/p>\n Former head of remarketing James Hopkins has appointed as brand director of network while Slater has been replaced as director of Leaseplan brand by Simon Carr.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
